update on 24 hour zine thing

So I've started doing my zine today and decided on a theme which is FLYING!

such a great subject in my opinion and a superb obsession of mine i must say

haha... hmm i dont really know what else to say on it because i guess that's it! here's the cover and maybe it'll be distro'd or whatnot or maybe not, i'm just enjoying making it and being apart of this 24 hour zine thing :P

ps. i coloured in the cover red before i figured out what i was gonna make it about or else i probably most likely wouldv coloured it blue to obviously resemble the sky, but whatevs :)

Now on Etsy

yes indeedy, i have decided to create an Etsy account!

i wanna eventually get back into making tees and start making badges so i figured etsy would be a good place to show them to peeps!
since iv discovered zinesters use this site to sell their more crafty things on as well as their zines, it sounds perfect!

so, yay!

Peace for now,

this months horoscope from sticky

"Ambitions you once cherished may no longer seem so appealing - especially after the Solar Eclipse. Looks like that band won't be happening either all. However, this is a good time to reflect on what you really want, and the price you're willing to pay. (ie, $14 for artlink...really? really?) Go for those goals that fire you up and that represent your true calling. You stand to make more money at the end of the month - if you overcome any fears. That means you will win some game show."

I like :)

The 24 Hour Zine Challenge asks zinesters to create a 24-page zine from conception to final product in 24 hours straight. Zines should be of suitable size and technical difficulty so that this truly is a challenge for individual zinesters.

I'm entering :)

Jesus Christ Superzine by Ariel Birks

it took me awhile to actually find this zine, but was definitely worth the wait. i really enjoy getting zines in the mail so this was a bonus!

Ariel Birks writes down countless stories and experiences she has had when she was once as she describes it, an 'evangelical teen', sharing teen memories at church camps and events etc.

i really enjoyed her honesty and her openness. the fact that there are plenty of other people around that share similar ideas and beliefs exactly like this really made me feel..*insert the word i'm looking for here* so yeah, if you wanna check it out you can buy it here. valerie park also request you add $3US for shipping if you wonder like me it was so cheap being from overseas haha

Peace x
