"For me, zines are about giving voice to people who may not have other mediums to express themselves, to see their voices (or others like theirs) in print. Zines are about individual stories, untold stories, and different points of view. I come from a zine culture where, and I know this opinion is not shared by all, someone’s first zine is as important as their hundred and first zine. The zine community that I want to be a part of has no experts. There are no special guests. In the community I want to be a part of, no one’s voice is more important than anyone else’s, regardless of how many zines they have put out, how well they draw, which distro they run, or whether or not they are a good writer."
